The yoga pants post

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I love yoga pants.

People often ask me where I get my leggings, so I thought this would be the perfect topic to kickstart my Friday Faves.

The "Friday Faves" or "Friday Favorites" trend is all over the blogging world. I resisted adopting the trend for a long time because I thought it seemed a bit too material. But I enjoy seeing what bloggers I follow are into, and thought WHAT THE HECK. Maybe somebody is interested in what I'm currently into that you can buy with the money.

... and back to yoga pants. Because I'm into yoga pants.

Here are my favorites. For the record, nobody's paying me to say they're rad. I genuinely like these guys.

All-Around Winner: Onzie

Onzie was created by a Bikram yogi, so it's great for hot yoga. According to their website, Onzie "blends the best of traditional yoga wear with modern innovation and a touch of whimsy." I dig them because:

  • I am a size smedium. It's hard to find. Onzie has a S/M!
  • They are easy to put on. I can't stand compression pants. They might make your rear look great but it's not worth spending five minutes prying them on your body. Give me stretch!
  • Look at all the fun prints! Life is too short to live in boring yoga pants.
  • The price is reasonable for a quality product.
  • They make high-waisted pants which I LOVE. No need to constantly pull up these guys!
  • They're made in the U.S. of A. California, to be precise.
  • Ladies, if you work out hard in the gym, you know that sometimes, in some products, you can fall victim to crotch sweat. Not in these!

Guilty Pleasure: Lululemon

I know, I know. Former CEO is a total jerk and for a while they refused to make larger sizes. But their product is really great. Seriously. If you can't tell the difference between $100 yoga pants and $10 yoga pants, you probably aren't actually doing yoga in them. I dig them because:

  • They have a variety of styles for every type of yoga or athletic activity.
  • Many styles have pockets, which is great for the gym and for running!
  • Fabric is amazing quality. So soft.
  • Speaking of quality, they hold up. My first pair is on year 4 and going strong!
  • You can actually get decent sales in-store. Check out the sale rack!

Favorite Slouchy Pants: Lolë

One of my go-to pairs of yoga pants are my bright blue slouchy pants from Lolë. I love them. They're soft and loose and I basically want to live in them. I just purchased a running skirt from Lolë (too soon to review), my second item ever from them, but I'm already loyal because of these pants. Awesome. Because:

  • Soft.
  • Slouchy enough to be comfortable but not so slouchy that you can't tell I'm a human.
  • Soft.
  • From what I can tell, the quality is great. I've had them since Christmas.
  • Soft.

Honorable Mention: Prana

Prana is a great company. I have a pair of dark grey leggings I wear on the reg from them. They are wonderful for yoga. They stay put and they're comfortable. They aren't see-through, but they do show sweat if I have an intense workout. Not attractive. Whatever, I wear them anyway because:

  • Great company.
  • Comfortable.
  • Stay put.

Favorite Cheapies: UniqueCoolYou

OK. These are cheap. I mean the price is cheap and the quality is cheap. The stitching is loose (I have a couple of pairs that are unraveling) and they are see-through. But they are so fun! I wear them exclusively for at-home workouts or for fashion purposes under tunics. Simply put, I dig them because:

  • Fun.
  • Inexpensive.

I recently discovered another inexpensive yoga pants site that peeps on Instagram seem to dig. Adding these to the list! Maybe they will hold up better.

  • Alo (GODDESS LEGGING - WANT!)
  • Ana's Leggings (mentioned earlier)

Where I Find Them

I shop online a lot. Here are some of my favorite sites for buying active/yoga gear:

Although I mostly shop online, I do make appearances at these stores:

  • Lululemon
  • REI
  • Athleta

As you can see, I'm a bit of a yoga pants connoisseur. What are you favorites? What do I need to add to my "to try" list?
